Ardeshir Rastinehad, D.O., FACOS
Vice Chairman, Department of Urology and System Director, Prostate Cancer
Dr. Rastinehad is currently the Vice Chairman, Department of Urology at Lenox Hill Hospital and the System Director, Prostate Cancer at Northwell Health.
Dr. Rastinehad trained at the National Cancer Institute as an Interventional Urologic Oncologist and is the first urologist to be dual fellowship-trained in Urologic Oncology and Interventional Radiology. He has expertise in a wide array of interventional radiological and surgical techniques, including image guided procedures, laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Rastinehad’s research has been published in leading national and international medical journals. He has published over 100 articles and multiple text book chapters and is a leader in his field of Uroradiology and was the senior editor of the first comprehensive text book on the subject, ‘Interventional Urology’, in 2016.
Dr. Rastinehad continues to dedicate his time to caring for patients by researching and developing new diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for urologic diseases, as well as training the next generation of urologists.
