Jennifer Susoreny-Velgos, DO- General Surgeon at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Dr. Jennifer Susoreny-Velgos was born in Crown Point, Indiana and is a graduate of Indiana University. She obtained her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She completed a residency in general surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dr. Susoreny-Velgos is board certified in general surgery and performs general surgical procedures including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy, colon resection, foregut surgery, inguinal and ventral hernias (both laparoscopic and open), breast surgery, skin and soft tissue surgery, thyroid surgery, and basic thoracic surgery. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons Arkansas Chapter, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Sigma Sigma Phi National Honorary Osteopathic Fraternity. Dr. Susoreny-Velgos lives in Paragould, Arkansas with her husband John and their three dogs. In her spare time, she loves to garden, hike, kayak, and travel both in the United States and abroad. She enjoys medical missions and has spent time in both Guatemala and Rwanda.
