Amanda Arrington, MD, MHM, FSSO, FACS, is a clinical associate professor with the University of Arizona Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, Section of Surgical Oncology. She is also associate director of community outreach in the Department of Surgery.

Dr. Arrington completed fellowship training in surgical infectious disease and residency training in general surgery at the University of Minnesota. A graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine, Dr. Arrington also completed fellowship training in surgical oncology at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, California. She is active in both regional and national organizations. As a member of the Health Policy Advisory Council of the American College of Surgeons, she is a strong patient advocate. She has special interest in clinical outcomes research in the area of surgical oncology, with particular interest in the impact of health care disparities in cancer treatment outcomes.

Dr. Arrington is board certified in general surgery and surgical oncology and has extensive experience as a cancer surgeon. She specializes in performing surgery for a wide range of cancers, including stomach (gastric), colon, liver, pancreas, melanoma, endocrine (thyroid, adrenal), breast, and soft tissue sarcomas.

ACOS will report your credits to the AOA on your behalf at the close of the submission period. 4) Eligible participants must claim CME credits NO LATER THAN 80 days after the completion of program. Attendees that do not submit their evaluation by the deadline WILL NOT receive credit for the 2021 In-Depth Review, there are no exceptions.
